Our Advanced Programs group offers expertise in acoustic technology for the detection of ballistic events. Its two major product lines are the Projectile Detection and Cueing (PDCue®) family of gunshot detection systems for force protection and the TDCue® automatic target scoring system for weapons training, calibrations, and development.
The PDCue acoustic gunshot detection system uses state-of-the-art signal processing technology to accurately and instantaneously detect and report small arms fire in both urban and rural environments via audio alert and visual display. The family of products includes a conventional, mast-mounted configuration and an innovative, low-profile distributed array configuration. PDCue provides exceptional accuracy from both static and moving platforms, and its advanced processing technology can identify the source (multiple shooters or burst fire) and timing of gunfire directed at the warfighter’s location.
Our PDCue systems are designed to operate as either stand-alone units or networked and interfaced with other systems and subsystems. The system's ability to interoperate with remote weapon systems for a slew-to-cue capability has been demonstrated with great success during deployments on tactical vehicles in Iraq.
PDCue is a cost-effective, all-weather, day/night acoustic gunshot detection system that can be tailored for successful integration on virtually any surface vehicle. |

TDCue Automatic Target Scoring System
TDCue is a non-contact precision target scoring system. It uses advanced acoustic technology to determine the location of the hit, as well as near misses of supersonic projectiles on a target. Detections are instantaneously registered both graphically and as statistical data. These results can be displayed at the shooter’s location, and/or at the supervisor’s location for immediate feedback on shooter and weapon performance.
Our TDCue system can be used with any target type, including no target (in which TDCue is used as a stand-alone system). It also is adaptable to both stationary and moving target lifters. The system can be hardwired or radio-controlled — the latter option allowing the user to relocate and set up TDCue in minutes.
TDCue sensors are produced in a variety of sizes to accommodate various test and training range needs including marksmanship, weapon development, and tank gunnery training. The system also offers various target reporting displays from indoor and outdoor monitors to handheld PDAs.
Our TDCue system has been proven for both indoor and outdoor operations at U.S. Army, Navy, and Marine Corps installations, as well as with allied foreign military and commercial customers. |
