AAI Corporation provides skilled UAS field service representatives (FSRs) to support customer requirements for technical assistance and logistics support. Our Unmanned Aircraft System Specialist® program is unique in the industry, and provides comprehensive training for AAI FSRs. Personnel are selected based on experience in military aviation and UAS maintenance and repair.
We have more than two decades of experience supporting UAS in the field — including our Shadow®, Aerosonde® and Pioneer® UAS — and that experience enables seamless missions for our customers. In fact, AAI has conducted deployment operations in four combat operational areas: Desert Storm, Kosovo, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
UAS Training
AAI provides a full range of UAS training services and devices to domestic and international customers. We provide UAS operational training, mission planning training, familiarization training, instructor training and maintenance training. Our capabilities include institutional, individual, collective and computer-based training, as well as interactive multimedia instruction and instructional systems development.
Our in-house simulation facility is utilized for UAS operator and FSR training. Its resources allow trained operators to increase their skills and proficiency. We support the development of advanced simulation capabilities for emerging live-virtual-constructive requirements. AAI also offers sophisticated, high-fidelity UAS training devices to support its Shadow and Aerosonde® UAS.
Performance Based Logistics (PBL)
AAI has an established record of success providing exceptional PBL support for our customers; for example, supporting the U.S. Army’s Shadow Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems program. We deliver proven levels of system readiness and availability by providing a seamless maintenance and supply chain system that supports the customer at all times.
In the field, our experienced FSRs perform maintenance activities and on-site support that enhance the military’s own capabilities.
Fee-for-Service UAS Services
Many customers require the fast, persistent situational awareness and data that UAS provide, but do not have the time or budget to devote to system purchases, operator training, liability and deployment costs, and ongoing maintenance. AAI provides customers all of the benefits of UAS without the cost of ownership through fee-for-service UAS operations.
